Since I’m on the subject of Joseph Joseph, just to let you know that there is some of their new ranges available online now at Garrendenny Lane with more being added over the next day or two. I am awaiting more photos to arrive but they will be put up soon too.
My favourite new product has to be Elevate. It comes in a gift box too so perfect for a gift for anyone who like baking or cooking but who would have thought kitchen utensils could be so funky and colourful. Sensible and hygienic too as when these are laid flat, the handles are weighted so the ladle part does not touch the work surface.

These are definitely making their way to my kitchen

And remember, delivery on your entire order in Ireland is only €5.95

It is already time for a new product of the month and another Joseph Joseph product won the vote over on Facebook. This time it is the Chop 2 Pot that is the Product of the Month, available in a range of colours for €11.99.

One of the best things about Joseph Joseph products is that they are so simple and so effective, one wonders why they haven’t been invented before but that is part of their success.
According to the lovely article about Joseph Joseph in the current edition of Munster Interiors, the Chop 2 Pot was born from a vsiit to the MoMA design shop in New York. Richard had spotted the chopping board, which had been discontinued, in the 20th century classic design section of the museum. They then met Sanders and sealed a deal to redesign the product under their own brand and undoubtedly make it much sexier with the brilliant choice of colours.

I organised a poll on my Facebook page, giving fans an opportunity to vote for a favourite product from a choice of three – the Index Chopping board, the Black & Blum Desk Tidy and the French Seedhead crockery.

The award-winning Joseph Joseph Index Chopping boards won the vote. As one person said, not only is it more hygienic but it means goodbye to garlic flavoured fruit salads!! Everyone knows the danger of contamination from raw food, especially that of chicken which has been in the media recently and featured in some blogs and this chopping board system is ideal for preventing cross contamination.
Colour coded and each board has a staggered tab so there are separate boards for raw meat, fish, vegetables and cooked food. All are kept tidily in a neat ABS storage case and all are dishwasher safe. Great for teaching children about hygiene with food too as they become accustomed to using different boards for different food products.

Click here to view the Index Chopping board, available for the month of April for €42.95. If you want to send it as a gift for someone, that can be easily arranged and gift wrap is available too.

For those of us who enjoy online shopping, there is another fab new online store opening. Starting small, Mel from the Design Heaven blog has opened the Design Heaven online store, and her first items are lovely teatowels from a new venture, Design By KiCo. The tea towels feature a fiery pinky red Zebra and a cute ice blue Penguin printed on 100% linen. Linen tea towels are known for durability and long life due to its very robust fibre and increases in strength when moist making it the ideal fabric for drying dishes. The tea towels are also quite large measuring 70cm x 50cm.

I had seen mentions of these celebrity designed limited edition Agas online occasionally and noticing it again yesterday in Alexander Fitzgerald’s column in the Sunday Business Post, I thought it would be interesting to share them with you and see what you think.

Call me boring but I’m not overly keen on any of these designs and at over €10,000 a pop, I think I’d be choosing one of the classic colours and I do like the duck egg blue but of these, I guess I like the cupcake one – the problem is it might lead to me baking and eating lots of cupcakes! I’m curious – what do you think of these celebrity designed limited editions? And do you have a favourite?
