My article in My Waterford on Tips on how to decorate in a  Nautical style

As you probably know, we stock Sanderson’s wallpapers and fabrics here at Garrendenny Lane (and will soon be able to supply them online) so I was delighted to write an article on Sanderson’s gorgeous 150th Anniversary collection for Munster Interiors Magazine.

I wrote the ‘Little Black Book’ feature in the current edition of House and Home which is in the shops now (and a reminder to me that I must get another decent photograph taken – I’m getting tired of seeing that photo, let along everyone else!). And as always, it is a great magazine. 

The Spring Munster Interiors magazine is great too, I don’t have anything in it this edition but there’s a great article on Joseph Joseph as well as great features on chairs, kitchens, style, lovely eye candy etc etc.

Splashes of yellow seem to be very popular at the moment, not least of all, on other bloggers posts!! And when I saw this over on Room Envy from the House to Home website, I couldn’t resist posting this picture over here too.

Sanderson’s Summer Tree wallpaper is one of my favourites from their Painterly Garden collection (and yes, we do stock it here if you are wondering). And I just love the plain yellow and plum accents – from the roman blind with the plum trim to the tulips to the scatter cushions, lamp and accessories. Gorgeous. The key is using simple accents – apart from the 2 floral cushions on the sofa in a matching fabric to the wallpaper, everything is plain. Yet, the buttoning on the ottoman and the chesterfield add sufficient detailing and texture as well as the simple moulding on the dresser and the side table.
