WE have an old pew in our kitchen that we bought years ago at an auction.  When we had the rectangular table, we used it all the time but now have the round one so it is an ‘ornament’.  (Photos of my kitchen will happen soon – once Brian get the time to tile it for me).  6 young children can fit along it so it’s great for birthday parties!

I’m thinking of getting one for the rental house as well.  Here’s a picture of a lovely one.  I like the chairs too.

I thought this image from House Beautiful epitomised the perfect outdoor dining scene – imagine having exotic wisteria twisting tumbling down from a pergola above the dining table and I love the geometric design of the bricks – reminds me of a garden we had in Lower Road, Lower Bemerton, Salisbury – well, we had the geometric brick seating area, albeit smaller but unfortunately had neither the pergola nor the wisteria!
