Merry Christmas

Published by Lorna under Christmas

Merry Christmas to you all.  I’ll post occasionally over the Xmas and New Year but won’t be back to normal until 12th Jan.  I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and all the best for 2010.

More Christmas’piccies.

Lovely but too cold-looking to live with – I like my cosiness.

I would love a dining room with this wallpaper and chandelier to host my Christmas dinner.

I like this (beats the school-made/homemade decorations strung up in my kitchen anyday :) )

Love the set above

Looking forward to lighting lots of Christmas candles on Christmas Eve (and thank goodness Santa isn’t bringing anything this year that needs to be assembled – he’s learning!!) and relaxing in front of the fire

Sssssh, Santa’s coming!

Oh, Christmas Tree

Published by Lorna under Christmas

I like this – we did this last year but haven’t got around to finding suitable branches this year – it is actually said than done as they need to be strong enough to hold the baubles and have enough little knobs on them to stop the baubles slipping where you don’t want them to go!

Making your own Christmas cards

Published by Lorna under Christmas

Time for another Christmassy pic I think – just in case we forget Christmas is just around the corner!

I like these simple handmade Christmas cards – just a case of cutting out scraps of wallpaper or fabric and creating a Christmas Tree shape with them – now what could be easier?

Christmas Stockings

Published by Lorna under Christmas

Now that it is December, it is almost officially Christmas. Many people view 8th December as the official start of Christmas and that is only next Tuesday. I’m going ‘Santa’ shopping in the morning as well as buying presents for those who are abroad so my mind is also on the little extras that Santa brings too – that fit into their stockings.

And if you don’t have a mantelpiece to hang the stockings from – you might get some ideas from the way the stockings above are held.
