I’ve been tagged ….. 13 things about me.

I’ve been tagged!  By Brid of Pretty Far West’s very very witty and funny blog!

The idea is to deliver some unbeknown facts about me or reveal some things that make me happy so here’s a mixture:

1. I love sticky toffee pudding with lashings of hot custard

2. I read the second and third books of the Millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson in 4 days – really recommend them, brilliant….

3. I love to have the kids playing around when I work but would love to have an assistant, imaginary or otherwise, who could persuade them in a very effective manner to tidy up instead of I having to do nag them or bribe them with stickers.

4. I love when the kids come in for a cuddle in the morning but not when it is between 12 and 6am.

5. I make a really tasty biscuit cake which I always bake for every school or parish tray bake occasion and there’s always just crumbs left – that is my one effort at being a domestic goddess.

6.  Robert Duvall is one of my favourite actors and I love the film Lonesome Dove.

7. I hate having my photo taken cos I really feel I should look 20 years younger, 2 stone lighter and my eyes always seem to squint whether I take off my glasses or leave them on!

8.  I am considering having laser surgery on my eyes but am terrified of it rendering me blind!

9. I now start my day with postive thoughts in order to resist all the doom and gloom out there!

10. I love to watch our dog Sam working with Brian, it is incredible to see how much he loves working with the cows and cattle.

11. I love cut velvet fabrics and flock wallpapers.

12. I detest paperwork and my ultimate goal is to have a very very efficient assistant to organise me (even though I would probably run a mile in order to hide from her every morning!)

13. I love woodland walks and Victorian houses

    Thank you Lorna but 13 sounds like such an unlucky number! I’d have to go with 12 or 14 :)

    Lovely, lovely smiles there. And even the list of things you like is a fine evocative mix of family life and business and enthusiasm and farming, all very successfully blended. I think you’ve found many people’s dream niche.

    thanks for the tag lorna, I’m very much with you on 7& 8 ( 8 to the point where i’ve decided i just couldn’t do it) and also …11 12 13 really resonate….
    and i have to agree those little ‘uns are as cute as buttons , i used to like those morning cuddles too….my little ‘uns are now too big ‘uns and it’d just be plain weird for them to cuddle me in the bed of a morning…but there were a few surprises some mornings, one being waking up to a dead bird placed beside my mouth and another particularly rude awakening …..having my mouth prised open by a screwdriver !!
    now, i’m really appreciating my lie-ins
