More Interior Trends for 2010

Published by Lorna at 2:34 pm under Decorating, Interiors

Here’s some pics from the Channel 4 / 4 homes websites with some of their predictions for Interior Trends for 2010. I’m including a few of my favourites.

Folk style at John Lewis and all the better if it includes woodland animal motifsÂ

I don’t think I could live with this and I know my lovely hubby would probably leave but I really like this - Blooms and Florals are getting bigger and better (from House of Fraser)

And looking at this pic just puts me in a good spring-like mood – all available at Bhs

And still with the focus on ‘back to nature’, an emphasis on natural woods – from chopping boards to bowls to furniture (above pic is John Lewis)

(Cath Kidston) – Retro/Vintage is still there and lovely as always

And Country House Glamour includes a stag’s head (available at M & S)!! My friend Naoimh will be delighted to see this as she is the proud owner of an authentic stag’s head which needs the services of a taxidermist to bring him up to scratch, so Naoimh, this one is for you!!

i’m loving the blooms and florals look, and what an inexpensive way to wallpaper, just keep accumulating sample pieces from B&Q and homebase…..(make sure no ones looking )
thanks for following me , you don’t have a follow option so i cant return the complement but i’ll subscribe in my google account….looking forward to seeing how you get on with you new years decorating resolutions

These are lovely- the CK and BHs are my favourites but I think the folk art is really cute too I might have to add some to my new designs!

Hi Elaine, I think (but I might be wrong) that the follow option is with blogspot blogs and mine is wordpress. I quite like the quirky look of the mix and match floral wallpapers too and if the same ones are repeated here and there, it shouldn’t look too much like a collection of sample pieces :) – half thinking of it for Kate’s bedroom but it would prob look too busy with all the toys there too. No matching though – how easy.
Hi Zia, Happy new year – I like the folk art too esp in those colours

That bhs look is beautifully fresh and jolly – I’ll have to get over my aversion to their shops and have a look. It seems as though they’ve been browsing in Cath Kidston and Rice. Happy new year, Lorna; may you and the shop continue to thrive and advise and entertain us all in 2010!

I’m very happy about this year’s design trends, I can’t resist the folk style and the John Lewis interpretation is lovely. I also love that stag’s head from M&S, the high street is really going for it this year!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Lorna and wishing you a very happy new year. Looking forward to meeting up again in 2010.

I particularly like that blue daisy wallpaper in the fourth picture, though they’re all lovely of course. Great post!
